Kathmandu : In a significant move toward accelerating Nepal’s transition to clean energy, LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, and MOGHA Renewables officially announced a strategic partnership and the launch of the Hi-MO X-10 solar panels last week. This collaboration marks a major milestone in the country's energy landscape, making Nepal one of the first markets globally to deploy LONGi’s newest-generation solar technology.

MOGHA Renewables, powered by the Dugar Group and Mogha Energy and led by Samrath Mogha and Abhishek Dugar, brings strong local execution capabilities and deep market expertise to the partnership. The collaboration will focus on delivering advanced solar solutions across EPC and large-scale utility projects, serving commercial, industrial, and utility customers nationwide.

According to the organizers, the newly launched Hi-MO X-10 is powered by HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) technology, which represents a significant leap in efficiency. This advanced module delivers approximately 9% higher energy generation while requiring around 8% less land area compared to conventional modules, significantly improving project economics and land-use efficiency.

Beyond raw power output, the module incorporates advanced engineering features such as lower operating temperatures, better hotspot regulation, and increased fire safety. It is specifically designed to handle diverse and challenging operating environments, featuring higher generation under partial shading conditions as well as anti-dust, anti-snow, and bifacial capabilities.

Samrath Mogha, President of Mogha Renewables, characterized the launch as a technological revolution, stating that the Hi-MO X-10 is the only technology that should be considered for upcoming projects due to its superior performance. Discussing the broader market, he noted that Nepali factories are increasingly adopting captive solar energy consumption as prices decline, with approximately 1 GW of capacity currently in the pipeline. He further emphasized that while initial costs may vary, the superior energy generation results in a significantly lower cost of energy over the system's lifetime.

Abhishek Dugar of the Dugar Group reinforced this vision of a sustainable future, expressing his commitment to making Nepal more resilient through renewable energy. He stated that the partnership aims to establish MOGHA Renewables as the largest player in both EPC and RESCO solar projects in Nepal within the next few years.

By combining LONGi’s global leadership in high-efficiency solar technology with MOGHA Renewables' strong on-ground leadership and execution, the partnership is set to accelerate clean energy adoption and support a more sustainable energy future for the nation.
