Shares prices of hydropower showed high volatility at the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday

KATHMANDU; While the overall market index gained 4.15 points, the sub-index of hydropower lost 2.35 points in the intraday trading. The group opened for trading in the secondary market at 1,980.87 points and went to as low as 1,963.98 points, before it closed at 1,978.16 points.

In the five trading days this week, the hydropower group lost 16.26 points in its market value. In the past one month, the group lost 239.39 points.  

Meanwhile, Peoples Power Limited listed its 6,326,000 units of primary shares at the secondary market. Of the total amount, 632,600 units have been issued to the affected people of the local area. Similarly, 2,467,400 units have been distributed to employees and 3,226,000 units are the promoters’ shares. Nepse has provided the price range from Rs 94.96 per unit to Rs 284.88 per unit for the shares of the hydropower company to be traded in the secondary market from Sunday.
