Kathmandu: The Government is going to set up a Judicial Commission to resolve the dedicated and trunk line tariff dispute. The Cabinet meeting, has decided to establish a judicial commission on the chairmanship on Supreme Court's former Justice Girishchandra Lal. 

Two joint secretary from the ministry of energy and ministry of industry will be stayed as member in the commission. The Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Shakti Bahadur Basnet has informed that they will decide within next 3 days on the issue of power tariff in parliamentary committee meeting held on Tuesday.  

Minister Basnet already expressed his commitment to exploring options for problem resolution. Subsequently, Basnet met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and proposed the formation of a commission to address and resolve the issues.

Federation of Nepali Chamber of Commerce and industries (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) had been demanding high level commission to resolve the problem related to power tariff. 

After formation of the high level commission, the cabinet also provides an instruction to connect the severed lines in operation.
