“We extend our sincere gratitude to the board of DPL for placing their confidence in Geppert by selecting us as their contractor for Electro-Mechanical (E&M) works,” said Mr. Geppert. “Under their visionary leadership, we have already successfully delivered the 40 MW Upper Chameliya and the 9.7 MW Ingwa Khola projects, both operating efficiently.”
Geppert Group has made significant strides internationally, collaborating with hydropower developers across the globe. Despite financial challenges faced in 2023 by one of its group companies, Geppert revitalized its operations in Nepal and remains committed to its long-term vision.
Amarjit Singh Makhija, Director of Geppert Hydro India Pvt. Ltd., noted that the company has already commissioned 144 MW of hydropower capacity in Nepal, with another 76 MW currently under construction. “The 998 kW Chukeni Khola project in Jumla, developed by AEPC and financed by ADB, exemplifies Geppert’s commitment to electrifying remote regions through sustainable, off-grid energy solutions,” Makhija added.
Rajkishor Yadav, Country Director of Geppert Nepal, emphasized the role of Geppert’s local office in providing critical support to Nepal’s hydropower sector. The office ensures timely services, refurbishment, supply of spare parts, and long-term reliability with a team of experienced engineers.
Looking ahead, the company says it is focused on building strong partnerships, supporting local development, and advancing Nepal’s clean energy future.
“Together, we will continue progressing and fulfilling our commitment to empowering everyone, everywhere,” concluded Guntram Geppert.
