Four Trapped Workers Rescued from Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Station

Kathmandu: Four employees of the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Station, who had been trapped inside the power plant, have been rescued safely.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation (MoEWRI), the rescue squad mobilized in the areas brought the employees trapped inside the center safely out amidst adverse weather conditions. The rescued employees include Bhakta Bahadur Majhi, Bal Bahadur Majhi, Rajan BK and Sunil Majhi.

Meanwhile, the MoEWRI has stated that necessary preparations are being made for rescue at the Upper Trishuli-3 'B' Hydropower Project. Although there was some delay in the rescue work due to adverse weather conditions, it has been stated that the rescue operation has been continued with high priority in the affected areas.

According to the ministry, a 'dedicated helicopter' with necessary equipment has been mobilized to rescue the people trapped in the flood-affected Upper Trishuli-3 'A' Hydropower Project. A team with necessary rescue equipment has been mobilized towards the project to make the rescue of people inside the tunnel effective.
