Kathmandu; Hydropower group last week gained 102.13 points in the country’s secondary market.

The market index of the group started at 2,426.31 points and closed at 2,528.44 points. The sub-index reached as high as 2,602.78 points before losing around 74 points to close for the week.

Out of the eight gainers during the review period, hydropower was added with the highest mark. Overall, the market price of hydropower shares increased 4.21 percent.  

In individual companies, Ridi Power Company Limited had the biggest transactions of its shares worth Rs 723.76 million. Barahi Hydropower Public Limited was the top gainer, while Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited was marked as the highest loser.

In the review period, Nepal Stock Exchange increased by a marginal 5.46 points to close at 2,149.39 points. The share investors gained Rs 2 billion from transactions.
